Hanse Festival

This year marks the 20^th anniversary of the town reconnecting with a very important part of its maritime heritage and identity. Honouring centuries of rich history with Hanseatic seafaring trading partners dating back to medieval times, King’s Lynn officially rekindled its historic connection to the Hanseatic League in 2005, when the local borough council rejoined the New Hanse League. It was the first English town to do so, with five other towns following suit over the subsequent two decades.

The weekend will feature great live music, colourful family activities, historical re-enactors roaming the town centre, a vibrant town parade, fascinating talks and walks, and much more.
